Strides in Alzheimer’s disease research
Dr. Michael Weiner, the Principal Investigator of the Brain Health Registry, will be delivering a plenary talk on Thursday, August 1st, during AAIC For All. Dr. Weiner will be discussing the impact of the pioneering Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) study on the field.
ADNI, also led by Dr. Weiner, launched 20 years ago. Over the course of two decades, ADNI has facilitated understanding of how the brain changes during Alzheimer’s, and has improved our ability to diagnose the disease. Furthermore, data from ADNI, which is publicly available to researchers, is catalyzing the development of novel treatments for Alzheimer’s disease.
Read more about the ADNI study here.
AAIC For All attendees will have the opportunity to see Dr. Weiner’s presentation, either virtually or in person! We hope you join us!
